EY’s JOURNEY is Israel’s most prestigious annual business conference. The conference hosts over 2,000 attendees each year, from Israel and abroad including investors, VCs, angels, entrepreneurs, startups and the entire echo-system. This year the conference will take place for the 23rd time.

The JOURNEY conference will take place on September 18th, 2019 at the Hilton Tel-Aviv hotel in Israel.
The conference hours are 9:00am to 18:00pm.

Imran Gulamhuseinwala

Mr. Gulamhuseinwala was appointed Implementation Trustee for the Open Banking Implementation Entity (OBIE) in April 2017.
As Trustee, he has oversight and responsibility for Open Banking’s delivery of the common technical standards underpinning the Competition and Market Authority’s Open Banking initiative.
Prior to joining Open Banking, Imran has been active in financial technology as both investor and start-up founder.
He has worked in financial services for over 20 years, eight years of which included investing in the FinTech sector. He is a former Partner of (EY) where he was also Global Head of FinTech.
He is the co-founder of CommuterClub, a FinTech 50 start-up which helps commuters to access savings for annual travel season tickets.
He was awarded an OBE in the 2017 New Year’s Honours list for his contribution to the financial services sector.
He has a Masters in Engineering from Cambridge University and is a CFA charter holder.

Nagraj Kashyap

Fred Kofman

Fred Kofman is Google’s leadership development advisor, director of the Conscious Leadership Center at the Monterrey Institute of Technology, founder and president of the Conscious Business Center International. After earning a PhD in Economics from University of California at Berkeley, Fred has been a prominentprofessor at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. Later, Fred founded his global consulting company, Axialent, which has delivered leadership programs to more than 15,000 executives around the world.

In 2013, Fred took a position of the Vice President of Executive Development at LinkedIn. During this time, Fred and LinkedIn offered a Conscious Business Academy program to professionals around the world.

Hope Taitz

Hope Taitz is the CEO of ELY Capital. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Ms. Taitz began her career in mergers and acquisitions at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Ms. Taitz continued at The Argosy Group and then at Crystal Asset Management before founding her own money management firm, Catalyst Partners. Now acting as an investor and advisor with expertise in media, technology and the consumer, she helps innovative enterprises grow through financial leadership and connections to established corporations. Ms. Taitz, currently sits on the boards of Athene Holding Ltd., MidCap Finco Holdings Limited, Greenlight Capital Re, Ltd., Summit Hotel Properties, Inc. and ATTN. On the not for profit side, Ms. Taitz focuses on education and is an advocate for STEM. Originally sitting on the board of Girls Who Code, she now is a board member of CS4All, YRFDarca, the Wharton School Undergraduate Board and the Center for Social Innovation.

Aharon Aharon

Aharon Aharon is the CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority, an independent public entity that operates for the benefit of the Israeli innovation ecosystem and Israeli economy as a whole.

Prior to his role at the Authority, Aharon served as the VP of Hardware Technologies and General Manager of Apple Israel. His previous roles were Co-founder, CEO, and chairman of Camero, a startup developing through-the-wall micro-power radars, active Chairman of the Board at Discretix, a startup providing solutions for data security, CEO of Seabridge, a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens and COO of Zoran.

Prior to that, he held a number of senior management positions at the IBM Research Division. Aharon holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering respectively from the Technion, where he lectured for more than 15 years

A product driven deep tech investor and entrepreneur with a strong background in finance, strategy and artificial intelligence with over 10 years of experience in identifying, building, and growing successful businesses and partnerships in the US and Europe. Partner at IBM Ventures focusing on strategic engagements with later-stage tech companies in regards to commercial opportunities in the fields of cloud, storage, security, enterprise SaaS with a special interest in AI and other emerging technologies.

Shira Azran

Shira Azran is a partner in the Corporate and Securities Group.
Shira represents corporations in a wide range of international and domestic corporate transactions, primarily mergers and acquisitions, growth equity financings and venture capital investments. In addition, Shira provides ongoing legal advice regarding corporate and commercial matters to both publicly and privately held companies with an emphasis on the tech sector. Shira works closely with entrepreneurs and investors in both early stage and growth phases of tech companies and supports their corporate decision making processes, fund raising, structural changes and strategic decisions.

Yuval Baharav

Yuval is an experienced entrepreneur, M&A executive and investor, and former CEO of startups including ooVoo, Xacct and Amdocs Cloud Services. As Head of Corporate Development and Strategy for Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX), he led ten global acquisitions totaling more than two billion dollars of investments. Prior to co-founding State of Mind Ventures, Yuval was a Partner with Sequoia Capital in Israel, and an independent angel investor.
