  • Cyber dreamers’ summit

Gili Raanan and Dan Amiga have played pivotal roles in the cyber boom of the past decade. Dan co-founded Fireglass, which became the first of many Israeli acquisitions by Symantec starting in 2017, delivering dramatic returns in a short period of time. Gili Raanan invested early in Axis Security, one of his initial ventures under the Cyberstarts brand, where Dan was a leading angel investor. Shortly after, Gili led the seed round for Island, co-founded by Dan after leaving Symantec, which has since become the leader in the enterprise browser space and was recently valued at $3 billion, with Cyberstarts participating in all funding rounds.
In this panel, we’ll explore the dynamics of market bubbles, dissect the CrowdStrike incidents, discuss the creation of new categories from the ground up, examine what sets great entrepreneurs apart, and speculate on the future of mega-mergers in the Israeli cyber landscape.

Attendees will learn when it’s time to consider larger partners to scale and find the right fit–both financially and culturally–and the unique journey that Israeli companies must embark on. Hear lessons from Taboola, a technology company that partnered with Apollo/Yahoo in a historic 30-year partnership that included a 25% equity stake.
